Somewhere between memory recollection, photography and imagination is where these paintings exist. Since all of the photographs they are based on are from my family archive, there is a strange Belgiannes about them. The houses. The cars. The traditions.
What happens when photographs are recreated in different mediums. What happens in that space or in that action?
