I’m Ellemie, a Belgian artist with a love for moments around the table. That love comes from living in Sweden for 2 years. The Swedes attach a lot of importance to staying inside and making it cosy, the word for that is "mysa". You might find some influences here and there.

An afternoon tea with a friend, a family dinner or wedding. We spend most of our most memorable moments around a table. So many stories can be told and are held by them.

Background & Training

I am an art historian by education and I am now developing my arts practice further under the guidance of artist Hilde Overbergh. Although primarily self-taught, I developed my artistic foundation through more than seven years of training with illustrator and draughtsman Chris Vandendriessche during my childhood.
